Water sports in Mallorca run from beach-kiosk banana boats to dealer-grade jet skis and superyacht toys - and knowing which resort offers what saves half a holiday. This guide covers the main activities, honest notes on the big resort areas, and where our own fleet fits in: Nauti Parts runs rentals and tours from southwest Mallorca, as the island's only authorised Sea-Doo dealer and official Seabob partner since 1995.

The activities worth your water time

Jet skis. The headline act. Ride options range from short beach-zone spins at the big resorts to open-coast rentals and guided tours from marinas. No licence is needed on our rental fleet - every session starts with a safety briefing, and gear is included.

Seabobs. The luxury water sled: hold on and it pulls you along the surface or diving beneath it at up to 22 km/h. Quiet, intuitive, and the most-requested toy on the island's yachts. As the official Seabob centre for the Balearics we rent them at our marina bases and sell the full range.

eFoils. Electric hydrofoil boards - a silent glide above the water, with a learning curve that rewards a lesson or two. We sell eFoils and can talk you through models and where to learn.

SUP, water skis and wakeboards. The slower (and faster) classics. Paddle boards suit calm mornings almost anywhere on the coast; skis and wakeboards need a tow and a bit of nerve. All three are in our rental line-up.

Inflatable platforms and seascooters. Yacht-day staples - Jobe, Yachtbeach and Spinera platforms plus Sublue underwater scooters, sold through our shops for owners and charters.

Water sports in Magaluf

Magaluf's beachfront is peak-season central for kiosk watersports: jet ski spins, banana boats, parasailing. Fine for a quick hit - but the strip's best-kept secret is that Port Adriano, ten minutes away, offers dealer-maintained Sea-Doo rentals and coastal tours past El Toro instead of laps in a swim zone. Bigger machines, open water, same taxi fare.

Water sports in Alcudia

The Bay of Alcudia is the north's watersports basin - long, sheltered and gently shelving, which makes it the family favourite for SUP, pedalos and beach-operator jet ski sessions. We're honest about geography: our bases are in the southwest, about an hour away, so for Alcudia beach hire you'll ride with local seasonal operators - check briefings and gear. For buying a ski or Seabob, or for servicing with island-wide collection, north-coast owners deal with our dealer team like everyone else on Mallorca.

Water sports in Playa de Muro

Next door to Alcudia on the same bay, Playa de Muro is the calm-water pick: a long, shallow, sandy run that's ideal for first-time paddleboarders and families. Watersports here are beach-kiosk style in season. If your Muro holiday needs a proper jet ski day, it pairs well with a cross-island trip to the southwest coast - or just take the SUP morning here and save the throttle for us.

Water sports in Pollensa

Puerto Pollensa's sheltered bay has a long watersports tradition - it's one of the island's best-known corners for sailing and calm-water sports, with seasonal operators along the beach. Like the rest of the north, it's outside our rental patch, but Pollensa-based owners use our island-wide collection for servicing, storage and winterisation, and buyers make the drive to the only authorised Sea-Doo showroom on the island.

The southwest: where our fleet lives

From Portals Nous (beside Puerto Portals) and Port Adriano (the Philippe Starck marina), with our showroom and service centre in Santa Ponsa, we cover the full stack: Sea-Doo jet ski rentals, Seabob rentals, SUPs, water skis and wakeboards, plus guided coastal tours past El Toro and Cap de Cala Figuera with swim stops in the coves. No licence needed on the rental fleet, briefings and safety gear included, group bookings welcome - contact us for current rates, and book 48 hours ahead in peak season.

Renting vs buying your own kit

A week's holiday: rent, obviously. But owners, residents and yacht crews do the maths differently - the Seabob F9 is 11,125€ inc IVA, the Sea-Doo range starts from 11,595€, pre-owned skis rotate through dealer checks, and financing runs through Santander. The rental fleet doubles as the test ride: try it on the water first, then talk to the team.

Common questions

What's the best all-round water sports base in Mallorca?

For sheer calm-water variety, the north's big bays are hard to beat. For quality of machines and coastline - jet skis, Seabobs, coastal tours - the southwest marinas are the strongest single base, 15-20 minutes from Palma.

Do water sports in Mallorca need a licence?

Our jet ski rental fleet needs no licence - just the included safety briefing. Seabobs, SUPs and tow sports need none either. Owning your own jet ski is the exception: Spanish regulations require a qualification.

When is the water sports season?

Beach operators typically run through the summer months; our marina rentals peak June to September, when booking 48 hours ahead is essential. Spring and autumn are quieter and many riders' favourite.
