The best jet ski experience near Palma isn't in the city itself - it's 15 to 20 minutes west along the Calvià coast. Our marina bases at Portals Nous and Port Adriano put you straight onto the clearest water in southwest Mallorca, with current-generation Sea-Doo rentals that need no licence and guided coastal tours led by riders who know every bay.
Why riders head west of Palma
Palma is a working port. The bay in front of the city is busy with ferries, cruise ships and commercial traffic, and the waterfront is geared to yachts rather than personal watercraft. Drive a quarter of an hour west and everything changes: the Calvià coastline is a run of turquoise coves, quiet headlands and dramatic cliffs - the water people picture when they think of a jet ski day in Mallorca.
That's where we're based. Nauti Parts has operated on this coast since 1995, with shops at Portals Nous (beside Puerto Portals marina) and Port Adriano, plus our own service centre in Santa Ponsa. Every ski in the rental fleet is maintained in-house by the same factory-trained technicians who look after the island's Sea-Doo owners.
Renting a jet ski near Palma
No licence is needed to ride our rental fleet - every rental starts with a full safety briefing and a map of the riding zone, so you'll be confident before you leave the dock. Life jackets and all safety gear are included.
- Fleet: current-generation Sea-Doo models, dealer-maintained
- Durations: one hour, half day or full day
- Groups: multi-ski bookings welcome - ask about group rates
- Prices: contact us for current rates and availability
In peak season (June to September) the fleet books out quickly, so reserve at least 48 hours ahead if you can.
Guided tours from the Palma area
If you'd rather explore than tow yourself around a zone, a guided tour is the better day out. Tours depart from Portals Nous and Port Adriano and carve along the southwest coast past El Toro and Cap de Cala Figuera, with swim stops in turquoise bays. Options run from a 1.5-2 hour coastal discovery ride to half-day adventures and fully private group tours - no experience needed, and two riders can share a ski.
Getting here from Palma
Both bases are an easy 15-20 minute drive west of Palma along the coast, with parking at the marinas. Taxis and ride-hailing from the city centre or the airport are straightforward, and many visitors combine a morning ride with lunch at Puerto Portals or Port Adriano - two of the island's smartest marinas.
Make a day of it
A jet ski session slots neatly into a Palma itinerary. Ride in the morning when the sea is usually at its calmest, then lunch at the marina - Puerto Portals and Port Adriano are destinations in their own right, and you're back in the city by mid-afternoon. If your group mixes speeds, our bases also rent Seabobs - the electric water sled that pulls you along or under the surface at up to 22 km/h, from the official Seabob centre for the Balearics - plus SUPs, water skis and wakeboards, so nobody sits on the dock. Hotels and villas around Palma can simply give us a call to arrange timings; concierges have been sending guests to our Portals Nous shop since 1995.
Thinking beyond a rental?
Plenty of Palma-based residents and boat owners come to us to buy rather than rent. Nauti Parts is the only authorised Sea-Doo dealer on Mallorca, with the full new Sea-Doo range and dealer-checked pre-owned watercraft in stock, financing available through Santander, and a factory-trained service centre that collects and delivers island-wide - including crane pickup straight from your yacht.
Common questions
Do I need a licence to jet ski near Palma?
Not with us - our rental fleet can be ridden without a licence, and every rider gets a full safety briefing first. If you're buying your own jet ski, Spanish regulations require a qualification; we'll point you to local course providers.
Can I ride a jet ski in Palma Bay itself?
Personal watercraft have to keep clear of the commercial port and follow the marked zones, which is why most riders prefer the open, clearer water off the Calvià coast just west of the city.
How far ahead should I book?
At least 48 hours in peak season. You can book online or by phone - our team speaks English, Spanish and German.
