Eastern Palma Bay offers some of the most varied jet ski routes in Mallorca. From the beaches of Palma to the coves of Llucmajor, this stretch of coastline combines urban waterfronts, long sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters.
Jet ski routes in Eastern Palma Bay are generally easy to navigate and provide a mix of busy recreational areas and quieter sections as you move away from the city.
Urban Coastal Areas
Portixol and Es Molinar
Portixol and Es Molinar are among the most distinctive waterfront areas in Palma. From the water, the traditional seafront, marina and promenade create a different perspective of the city compared to what is seen from land.
This section is often active with boats and other water users, particularly during the summer season, but it remains one of the most recognisable parts of Eastern Palma Bay.
Ciutat Jardí
Further along the coast, Ciutat Jardí offers a more open setting. Its wide sandy beach and views across the bay make it a pleasant area for cruising, especially during quieter periods of the day.
The transition between the urban waterfront and the larger beaches further east becomes increasingly noticeable from this point.
Popular Beaches of Eastern Palma Bay
Can Pastilla
Can Pastilla is one of the best-known areas on this side of the bay. Its wide beach, open water and views across Palma Bay make it a popular section for recreational boating and water sports.
Playa de Palma
Stretching for several kilometres, Playa de Palma offers excellent visibility and plenty of open space on the water. During summer, it becomes one of the busiest coastal areas in Mallorca.
S’Arenal
At the southeastern end of the bay, S’Arenal marks the transition between the urban beaches of Palma and the more natural coastline of Llucmajor.
Towards the Llucmajor Coastline
Cala Blava
Cala Blava introduces a completely different landscape. Rocky formations, turquoise water and smaller coves replace the long sandy beaches found elsewhere in the bay.
Cala Vella
Further along the coast, Cala Vella is one of the most attractive natural areas in this part of Mallorca. Surrounded by cliffs and crystal-clear water, it offers a very different atmosphere from the busier sections closer to Palma.
What to Expect on the Water
Jet ski routes in Eastern Palma Bay combine urban waterfronts, open beaches and natural coves within a relatively short distance.
Boat traffic is generally heavier around Can Pastilla, Playa de Palma and S’Arenal, while the sections near Cala Blava and Cala Vella tend to feel quieter and more relaxed.
Best Time to Ride
Morning is usually the best time to explore Eastern Palma Bay. Sea conditions are calmer, visibility is excellent and activity levels are generally lower.
As the day progresses, thermal winds and increasing boat traffic can create more demanding conditions, particularly in the more exposed sections of the bay.
