The honest answer is that jet ski service cost depends on the model, its engine, its age and how it's been used - which is why any workshop quoting one flat price before asking what you ride is guessing. What we can do is show you exactly what a proper service includes and what moves the price up or down, so the quote you get makes sense.

At our factory-trained Service Centre in Son Bugadelles we service Sea-Doos as Mallorca's only authorised dealer - and look after other brands too. Here's how the cost actually breaks down.

What a proper annual service includes

How Much Does a Jet Ski Service Cost? What's Included & What Drives the Price

A real service is more than an oil change. Depending on the machine and its schedule, expect:

  • Engine essentials - engine oil and filter change, spark plug inspection or replacement, and checks of the cooling and exhaust systems.
  • The jet pump - inspection of the impeller and wear ring (the part that quietly eats performance when it's worn), pump oil where applicable, and driveline checks.
  • Fuel and electrical systems - lines, connections, battery health and charging.
  • Diagnostics - plugging into the onboard computer to read fault codes and confirm everything the sensors see. On a modern Sea-Doo this step is where an authorised dealer's factory tooling genuinely matters.
  • Hull and hardware - corrosion inspection, anodes, seals, steering and throttle operation, and safety equipment.
  • The salt-water reality check - everything on Mallorca lives in salt. A good technician is looking for the early corrosion and wear that becomes an expensive failure next season if ignored.

What actually drives the price

How Much Does a Jet Ski Service Cost? What's Included & What Drives the Price

  1. The model and engine. A supercharged 300+ hp performance machine has more service points and stricter maintenance intervals than a Spark. More engine, more service.
  2. Engine hours and age. Service schedules key off hours run. A machine at a major interval needs more parts and labour than one at a minor check.
  3. Condition and history. A machine serviced on schedule its whole life costs less to maintain than one arriving with three skipped years and a mystery rattle. (This is also why our pre-owned stock gets checked by these same technicians before sale.)
  4. Parts needed. Wear items - plugs, wear rings, batteries, anodes - are replaced on condition. Genuine Sea-Doo parts cost what they cost, but they fit first time and last; that's usually cheaper across a season than the alternative.
  5. What you add on. Winterisation and storage at season's end, spring recommissioning, or our island-wide collection and delivery - including crane pickup straight from a yacht - all extend the service into a complete care package.

Why the cheap quote is usually the expensive one

A service priced suspiciously low usually means steps skipped - no diagnostics, no pump inspection, no corrosion check. On an island where every machine lives in salt water, the missed item becomes July's breakdown, in the exact week you most wanted to ride. Paying for the full checklist once a year is the cheapest reliability money buys.
